Kejriwal not invited to Metro line opening, AAP lashes out at PM

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday lashed out at the Centre and the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) for not inviting chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to the inauguration of the new Faridabad Metro line. The party chose the incident to fire a fresh salvo at the Centre for not practising co-operative federalism. Besides accusing the Centre and the organisers of setting a ‘wrong precedent’ by not inviting the chief minister, the AAP leaders urged the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to “avoid petty politics”. “The Delhi government and Centre are equal partners in the DMRC in terms of equity. Any decision to extend the Metro outside the NCT needs approval from the Delhi government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi often talks about co-operative federalism. But the decision to not to invite the Delhi CM shows he is afraid of sharing credit with others,” said Saurabh Bhardawaj, AAP legislator from Greater Kailash and former Delhi transport minister. RSS and the VHP against the Vice President of India Hamid Ansari

AAP, New Delhi: The demeaning remarks made by the right wing groups like the RSS and the VHP against the Vice President of India Hamid Ansari is a sad development for the democratic norms and the sacred constitutional framework of the country. The comments made by the right-wing hardliners amounts to the mockery of the Constitution. “The RSS and VHP has attempted to ridicule the constitution by attacking the Hon. Vice President of India. This is also worrying because top Union Ministers and ruling BJP leaders meet with RSS and its affiliates to take directions in running the politics of the country. This is direct interference of these hard-line groups in the political process and should be condemned by one and all,” AAP leader  Ashutosh said in a press conference here today. The meeting between Narendra Modi government and RSS is highly questionable. The government is accountable and answerable only to the public. Such a deliberation is a mockery of the constitutional arr

Delhi BJP is resorting to spreading falsehood and creating confusion in the minds of the people.

AAP, New Delhi:  While everyone across the spectrum is appreciating the Delhi government over its tackling of the onion price crisis in the state, it is interesting to note that the Delhi BJP is resorting to spreading falsehood and creating confusion in the minds of the people. While as a responsible political party, BJP Delhi unit should have rather helped people of Delhi by prevailing upon the central BJP government to help Delhi, it is rather spending its energy on campaign to malign the government and people of Delhi. "Satish Upadhyay (state BJP President) should answer as to why the Centre is not selling onion at Rs 20 per kg at Safal outlets instead of asking us? And if they have onion at cheaper prices available with them why are they not communicating it to the government directly?"  Aam Aadmi Party Delhi state secretary Dilip Pandey said in a press conference here today. It needs to noted that while Delhi BJP claims that the central government was in a cond
