New Delhi: With December coming to an end and no election dates still announced, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified the demand on social media to conduct fresh polls in Delhi. “There is some unconfirmed news going on that election dates could be postponed to April,” party spokesperson Atishi Marlena said. AAP sources said the party is apprehensive that the poll dates may be pushed to April if the election results in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand are not favourable to BJP. It is also expecting the election will be held in February this year, which mark one year of President’s rule in Delhi. “By-polls were to be conducted in the last week of November, but the assembly itself was dissolved last month. More than a month has passed, elections dates have not been announced,” a party source said. “We feel that the BJP may play tricks and get the election delayed under some pretext or the other. Sounding a note of caution against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious Make in India campaign, Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan on Friday said it should not focus only on manufacturing. "I am cautioning against picking a particular sector such as manufacturing for encouragement, simply because it has worked well for China. India is different and developing at a different time, and we should be agnostic about what will work," Rajan said while speaking at the Bharat Ram Memorial Lecture at Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi. He further said there is "danger when we discuss Make in India" as something which is focused on manufacturing, "an attempt to follow the export-led growth path that China followed.
