Modi Government controlled Delhi Police for harassing party MLAs.

AAP, New Delhi: Tuesday 14th July Aam Aadmi Party made a scathing attack at the Modi Government controlled Delhi Police for harassing party MLAs. Senior Party leader Sanjay Singh said Delhi Police should concentrate on dealing with deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi instead of hatching conspiracies against Aam Aadmi Party at behest of Modi government.

Addressing a press conference, Sanjay Singh said that the when the entire capital is shocked at the footage on TV showing a police officer raping a minor domestic help at gun point, the Commissioner of Police is busy hatching conspiracies to implicate Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in criminal cases and sending them behind bars.

The latest in the series is Commando Surendra Singh, a decorated former NSG Jawan and AAP MLA from Delhi Cantonment constituency. Surendra Singh was one of the elite commandos para-dropped in Mumbai to flush out terrorists during 26/11 terror attack. Commando Singh had sustained serious injuries during the National Security Guard operation and was retired after receiving permanent disability.

Commando Surendra Singh told reporters that he had completed his graduation from EIILM University. Now he is been harassed after the university has been closed. “When I was exchanging bullets with terrorists, BJP did not raise the issue of my degree. When I received permanent disability fighting for my country, BJP did not raise the issue. When I was knocking doors of senior BJP and Congress leaders for pension, nobody extended a helping hand. Now that I have picked a fight against corrupt forces, Modi government is targeting me,” said Surendra Singh.

Party’s national spokesperson Sanjay Singh said that Police should concentrate on chasing criminals and not on chasing AAP MLAs. He said police should give out the list of AAP MLAs it plans to arrest. We shall hand them over to police, so that the police could devote more time on improving law and order situation in the city.

After the press conference, Sanjay Singh met the Police commissioner with Commando Surendra Singh. Police Commissioner, however, said no vindictive action will be taken against AAP MLAs.

"We met the Police head at 4:30 today at Police Headquarters and were ready to hand over Commando Surinder (Singh)our MLA. We wanted the police to save their energy in chasing our MLA who is a law abiding citizens and a proud representative elected by the people ," party leader Sanjay Singh told reporters after the meeting. He also charged the Delhi Police of going after its leaders on the orders of the central government.

The Erosion of Democracy: BJP's Stranglehold on Indian Politics

In recent times, India has witnessed a concerning trend of democratic institutions being manipulated and opposition voices being silenced under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The use of government agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax Department (IT) to target opposition leaders has raised serious questions about the health of democracy in the country. The blatant misuse of these agencies to harass and intimidate political opponents undermines the very foundation of democracy. By incarcerating opposition leaders and subjecting them to legal harassment, the BJP government is effectively crushing dissent and monopolizing power. Such tactics not only weaken the democratic fabric of the nation but also erode public trust in the fairness and impartiality of the legal system. Furthermore, the stranglehold of the BJP government extends to the media, with reports of censorship and suppression becoming incre

Unmasking the Dark Veil of Electoral Bonds: The Lingering Shadow of Black Money in Indian Politics

By S.B. Mazumder In the convoluted saga of political financing in India, electoral bonds emerged as a promising solution, yet they only served to veil the pervasive presence of black money within the corridors of power. Despite assertions by the government that these bonds would bring transparency to political funding, the recent Supreme Court ruling striking them down as unconstitutional shines a stark light on the enduring issue of cash-driven politics. Electoral bonds were envisioned as a tool to sanitize the flow of funds to political parties by allowing donors to contribute ostensibly anonymously. However, this anonymity proved to be a double-edged sword, as it shielded potential quid pro quos between donors and political recipients. While parties were privy to the identities of their benefactors, the public was left in the dark, rendering the entire system vulnerable to manipulation and corruption. The government's promise that electoral bonds would cleanse the system of unac
