Motorola's Moto Xpress to bring door to door customer service

Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility has announced a new after-sales service solution called Moto Xpress that aims to bring customer service at consumers' doorstep. Moto Xpress will be available as a pilot in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida starting first week of August.

Moto Xpress is a home pick up and drop service that will rectify software and accessory related issues, on the spot within an hour and hardware issues will be resolved within 5 working days, the company has announced.

Motorola will charge its customers an amount of Rs.199 per service.

Customers simply need to book for a service when they encounter an issue with their Motorola smartphone by dialling the Moto Xpress Service Booking number '011-41717124'. After successful registration, Motorola service staff will reach out to a trained Motorola representative who will then come and attend to the issue 'in no time'.

Motorola Mobility has been ramping up its after-sales efforts in the country. Currently, the company has 160 service centers across the country and a Bangalore Moto Care Service and Experience Center for consumer touchpoints.

Motorola also developed a Moto Help App where consumers can directly chat and call the company's customer care executives for a solution to the issues related to after-sales.

Motorola phones have been very popular in India. Ramping up after-sales service will surely boost sales further.

The company recently launched the third generation of the Moto G in India at a price of Rs.12,999 for the 2GB RAM/16GB memory variant and aRs.11,999 for the 1GB RAM/8GB memory variant. The new Moto G is exclusively available via Flipkart
