Arvind Kejriwal, AAP intensify demand for polls in Delhi

New Delhi: With December coming to an end and no election dates still announced, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified the demand on social media to conduct fresh polls in Delhi. “There is some unconfirmed news going on that election dates could be postponed to April,” party spokesperson Atishi Marlena said. AAP sources said the party is apprehensive that the poll dates may be pushed to April if the election results in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand are not favourable to BJP. It is also expecting the election will be held in February this year, which mark one year of President’s rule in Delhi. “By-polls were to be conducted in the last week of November, but the assembly itself was dissolved last month.
